Brendon Urie Raises $134,000 For Charity During Twitch Livestream

On Friday (November 15), Brendon Urie aired a special Twitch livestream where he raised money for his Highest Hopes Foundation. The Panic! At The Disco frontman promised special guests and giveaways during the gaming event, and boy did he deliver. He played video games with friends like Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Twenty One Pilots' Josh Dun and offered prizes from brands like Oculus, HyperX, Beat Saber, and Call Of Duty, but that's not all.

Urie also gave fans incentives to hit fundraising goals. Donations of $10 received a prize raffle entry and $25 donations earned a gift. At $10,000 raised Urie promised to play Fortnite without a weapon and at $50,000 he played a drum solo live. When he hit the $75,000 goal, Urie premiered a new metal song (this isn't the first time he's done this), and at $100,000 the musician added the snare drum from Death Of A Bachelor was added to the raffle.

In 24 hours Urie was able to raise $134,000 for his nonprofit — an organization that "helps lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights" by sharing "strength, courage, and motivation to all people and communities who are subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity."

P!ATD celebrated the successful event with a post on Instagram: "Whatta day! Raised $134k for @highesthopesfoundation in just 24 hours. Couldn’t have done it without the help of some amazing friends & all of you beautiful souls"
