Tom DeLonge Says Angels & Airwaves' New Album Is '3 Years In The Making'

Angels & Airwaves rang in the new year with an update that promised "if all goes as planned, songs will be ready to roll out this Spring." And from the sounds of Tom DeLonge's latest Instagram post, things really are going as planned. On Monday (March 1), the frontman revealed that five songs were getting delivered to be mixed, with another batch going out in a couple weeks.

"What a great day. Sending 5 songs off to be mixed- the final stage in a songs evolution from the birth of the idea, to over 100 tracks diligently crafted with sounds, passion and goosebumps. Soon, another 5 songs will be sent over in the next couple weeks to close out this chapter," he wrote. This @angelsandairwaves album has been 3 years in the making, and it’s our best yet. Thank you for all your patience, support and love. 😎"

AVA has shared three tracks off the project — "All That's Left Is Love," "Kiss and Tell" and "Rebel Girl." — and Delonge teased a new one earlier this month that "has the (temporary) biblical name of 'DISSCO.'" He's also declared that the upcoming album "has a little bit of all three bands" he's been in, which should excite blink-182 and Box Car Racer fans.
