Punk band Lambrini Girls will not be performing at Coachella this weekend, following an injury lead singer Phoebe Lunny sustained that led to an acute brain injury.
The group broke the news to fans on their Instagram account on Thursday (April 9).
"We are so gutted guys," the band wrote. "We want to be there so badly. This isn't something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there's some universe we get to play next year instead."
Lunny, who fronts the group alongside Selin Macieira-Bosgelmez, explained that she fractured her neck in Australia and the injury was misdiagnosed. After seeking "late treatment," doctors diagnosed her with an acute brain injury.
"Doctor's orders are I can't fly or perform for six weeks," the musician continued. "Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I'm lucky and expect a speedy recovery. Thank you for always showing up for us."
This isn't the first time one of the bandmates has had to drop out of performing. In September 2025, Bosgelmez opened up about taking a one-month break from touring to focus on her mental health.
"I've always struggled badly in touring environments, and despite my best efforts, those struggles have consumed me entirely and spat me out again," the bassist wrote on her Instagram at the time.
Along with the Coachella cancellation, the band will also be rescheduling all headlining tour dates.
