Metallica, Def Leppard, The Beach Boys and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy are getting into the business of graphic novels.
They've all signed deals with Headshell, a new imprint of musical graphic novels from Vault Comics. The first book that will be published is called Dying Inside and it was written by Wentz with Hannah Klein and features artwork by Lisa Sterle.
Wentz says, "Creating a new graphic novel with Vault and one of my favorite writers, Hannah Klein, has been an insane experience -- in the best possible way."
Def Leppard's project will be based on their Hysteria album, but details about The Beach Boys' novel weren't revealed.
This is Metallica's second time doing a graphic novel -- in 2014 they partnered with writer Jim McCarthy and illustrator Brian Williamson for a biographical project called Nothing Else Matters.
