R.E.M. will continue their series of 25th anniversary reissues on October 29th with New Adventures in Hi-Fi.
The reissue of the 1996 album comes in multiple versions:
- A two-CD set or digital edition with the remastered album and 13 B-sides and rarities.
- A two-record set, with a standard black vinyl or a limited-edition clear and marbled version, through the band's website.
- And two-CD and one-Blu-ray version that adds five remastered music videos, plus previously unreleased 30-minute EPK and 64-minute outdoor projection film that was shown on buildings in five cities in 1996 to promote the original release. There's also a book that includes memories of the album fromPatti Smith(who guests on "E-Bow the Letter") and Thom Yorke of Radiohead.
R.E.M. have released one of the rarities, an alternate version of "Leave," plus an unboxing trailer for the reissue.
