There are some basic things that make your brain happy and science is proving it. New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering used a brain monitoring tool called MINDWATCH along with wearable devices to show how simple pleasures make the brain function better. The participants took cognitive tests while enjoying music, coffee, or fragrances catered to their personal preferences and then again without these stimulants. It turns out that music “woke up the brain” and made a big impact on how it works. Coffee and fragrances did well, but didn't come close to music. So, when you need to use your brain power, crank up the tunes!
