Coldplay treated fans in Munich, Germany to a major surprise on Thursday night (August 15) when they brought out Shawn Mendes to help perform their 2005 hit "Fix You." The collab sent fans into a frenzy online and a 2019 interview where the pop star divulged that "Fix You" is what inspired his song "In My Blood" most resurfaced on social media.

Coldplay's Music Of The Spheres World Tour is currently traveling throughout Europe and will hit Australia this fall. The tour, which kicked off in 2022, also just made history as the highest grossing rock tour of all time. According to Billboard, the tour has grossed $945.7 million and sold 8.8 million tickets, and there are still plenty of dates left to go. This breaks the record set by Elton John, whose “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” grossed $939.1 million during its run from 2018 to 2023.

Coldplay are gearing up to release their 10th studio album, Moon Music, on October 4 and shared its lead single "feelslikeimfallinginlove" in June. They also shared the album's tracklist.

In an effort to keep their business sustainable, the album will be available on vinyl made with 100% recycled plastic bottles. Each record will be composed of nine recycled PET-plastic bottles that have been recovered from post-consumer waste. According to the band, this will prevent the manufacture of more than 25 metric tonnes of virgin plastic and provide an 85% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional 140g vinyl. They also plan to release the album on the world's first "EcoCD," which is created from 90% recycled polycarbonate sourced from post-consumer waste streams.
